A life spent researching the stories behind the legends

Born in Cremona in 1963, Luca Dal Monte spent two decades in automotive communications — including senior roles at Peugeot Italy, Toyota Motor Italy, Pirelli, Ferrari and Maserati — before turning to writing full-time. Since then he has spent years in archives and interview rooms, from Modena to Maranello, reconstructing the lives of the men and women who shaped motorsport and football history. His work has won the Premio Selezione Bancarella Sport and the Premio Sandro Ciotti, and been shortlisted for the Royal Automobile Club's Motoring Book of the Year Award. The Italian Olympic Committee awarded him the Diploma d’Onore.
